Our Story

Dr. John Hunter formed the Star Sports LLC team with the intent of developing sporting goods that will facilitate outdoor activity. Moonshot is Star Sports' first sporting goods product. It features a ring-wing airfoil which performs 3 times better than Frisbees or discs. To launch the rings we developed the Moonshot launcher which is similar to a slingshot but with a twist, literally. Check out our videos!

 

John's wife Laura and son Johnny help promote and demonstrate Moonshot in local parks and beaches. Laura was a guide in Mexico's exotic Copper canyon. She now runs a non-profit called Water Station that saves lives in the California desert. John's son Johnny is an engineer who is also a pilot and appreciates the flight performance of the Moonshot.
